Lucy Atieno

Lucy Atieno is a tourism researcher currently pursuing her PhD at Bremen University in Germany. She applies participatory research techniques to research gender, tourism and climate change. Her academic journey is complemented by professional experience in sustainable tourism consulting in East Africa, where she focused on enhancing local linkages to tourism value chains. Lucy also has a background in academia, having given guest lectures and taught university courses on tourism and environment.
