Equality in Tourism has been invited to talk about sexual harassment in the workplace at a workshop being held by Bournemouth University on July 7th, 2014.

We know that sexual harassment in the tourism and hospitality industry is widespread and needs to be addressed urgently. But there are still few first hand accounts of the real instances of sexism experienced by tourism workers on a day to day basis. We want to have a better understanding of what’s happening – which we could have if you feel able to share your experience with us.

Although these experiences are normally not shared, we think that letting others know that they’re not alone with this problem might be helpful. If you are willing to share your own experience, we could upload your story on to our blog (with your permission) – either with your name or under a pseudonym.

Please reply directly to tricia@equalityintourism.org if you are interested in sharing with us. Thank you.
