Position: Part-Time Digital Marketing and Communications Officer

Why We Need You: As a Part-Time Digital Marketing and Communications Officer, you will play a vital role in amplifying our mission and expanding our reach. In today’s digital age, effective online communication is paramount to creating awareness, building engagement, and driving support for our initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our digital presence and enhancing our ability to effect positive change.

What You’ll Do: In this role, you will be at the forefront of our digital efforts, responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and attract supporters.
  • Creating and curating compelling and relevant content for our website, social media platforms, email campaigns, and other digital channels.
  • Manage our WordPress website. 
  • Managing and monitoring our social media accounts, responding to comments, and fostering meaningful interactions with our online community.
  • Analysing the performance of digital posts and campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights to make data-driven improvements.
  • Assisting in the creation and distribution of press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.
  • Monitoring industry trends and staying up-to-date with digital marketing best practices to keep our strategies fresh and effective.
  • Managing a team of volunteers, working collaboratively with them to implement digital marketing strategies. 

 

Qualifications We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in digital marketing and communications.
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation for various platforms.
  • Proficiency using WordPress, with knowledge of SEO and UX 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and a strong grasp of grammar and style.
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools, content management systems, and data analytics.
  • Creativity and a keen sense of storytelling to effectively convey our organisation’s mission and impact.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage a team of volunteers supporting your work. 
  • Passion for the non-profit sector and a genuine interest in our cause.
