Volunteer

Maria supports Equality in Tourism as a research assistant.

Maria is currently a postgraduate student on the “European Masters in Tourism Management” programme.

After completing her Bachelor’s degree she worked as a receptionist at a hotel.
During this time she recognised that in spite of the fact that the tourism industry employs a significant amount of women, there is a distinct gendered nature of the jobs and that there is an under representation of women in managerial positions.

Maria is proud to be part of Equality in Tourism and the purpose to make the tourism industry a better place for women.
