Helen

Helen volunteers with Equality in Tourism as a research assistant. 

She has a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages and a master’s degree in Intercultural Communication and International Development, through her studies, travel and previous work experiences she has focused on gender dynamics and inequality, for example conducting research on gender inequalities in education and livelihoods in Tanzania as well as economic empowerment programmes in Jordan.

She currently works in the third sector for an organisation which works to advance children’s rights and equality for girls and is excited to be a part of the Equality in Tourism volunteer team to help challenge and bring about change for women in the tourism industry.
