We are proud to welcome Fiona Bakas as a new Associate of Equality in Tourism. An emerging researcher specialising in gender and tourism development, Fiona has worked in Greece, the UK, New Zealand and Portugal, teaching tourism courses, organising conferences, offering ecotourism consultancy and business management. Having gained her PhD from Otago University, New Zealand, she is currently a Research Fellow at Portugal’s Aveiro University, examining gender roles, economic innovation and gender equality in the Portuguese tourism sector.
