Equality in Tourism director Dr Lucy Ferguson recently delivered our first training session. Tour operator Kuoni commissioned Equality in Tourism for this groundbreaking collaboration to address the question of gender and tourism as part of a Human Rights Impact Assessment it is undertaking in India.
At the full-day training session, Dr Ferguson drew on her extensive experience as a researcher and consultant in the field of gender and development to provide information and practical help for engaging with women in the field.
Kuoni said: “It was a pleasure to collaborate with Equality in Tourism on the topic of gender equality. We are now equipped with some useful and practical tools to engage with women in the framework of our Human Rights Impact Assessment in India”.
