Responsible Community-Based Tourism Training in Rwanda
Dr Stroma Cole provided responsible community-based tourism training for women at the Nyamirambo Women’s Centre in Rwanda, which supports disadvantaged women wanting to continue their education and training.
Vocational Training and Sustainable Tourism, European Commission
Dr Lucy Ferguson, along with Equality in Tourism Associate Daniela Moreno, acted as a gender consultant in 2011 for a large European Commission project on Vocational Training and Sustainable Tourism.
UN World Tourism Organisation
In June 2012, Lucy went to Nigeria to deliver the opening and closing address at the UNWTO Commission for Africa Technical Seminar on Opportunities for Women and Youth in Tourism.
